Transgender is the state of one's gender identity (self-identification as male, female, both or neither) not matching one's assigned gender (identification by others as male or female based on physical/genetic sex). Transgender does not imply any specific form of sexual orientation; transgender people maybe identified as heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, or asexual.
Becoming a transgender person is no easy task, and it requires serious funding in order to make this change a safe one. Doctors, prescription medications, surgeries, and psychologists are some of the expenses people like myself must endure in order to correct what some call; Nature's mistake.
Some of us have turned to prostitution, adult films, and adult websites to help us raise funds for our expenses. But regardless of these activities we are still members of society, and as such we also have the same needs for love, companionship, and respect, just like you. Hopefully groups like Bienestar will in time help us gain our rightful place in society.
